Dollhouse = Dissociative Identity Disorder?

Being a doll is kinda like being diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (or Multiple Personality Disorder).  The Core personality and the alters.  The Core is sometimes aware of the alters, sometimes not.

I was watching the season premiere of Lie To Me and the emotions of the character with DID kept making me think of Echo and the dolls.  Huh.  This girl fears that one of the alter personalities will just take over and she'll fade away.  Isn't that just like Caroline/Echo?  This girl keeps returning to her Core consciousness in odd places, uncertain of how she got there.  Isn't that similar to when Echo glitches and finds herself in a new place and confused about how she got there?

Taking this a step further, DID is believed by some to not exist.  Kinda like how people believe the Dollhouse doesn't exist.

Anybody see any more parallels here?
