Word(s) Count

I was thinking about the difference in reading online and books.  How with fanfic you read the chapters and just scroll down the page.  There's no sense of turning the page or of length in terms of pages.  Which made me wonder how long "Thought You Should Know" is in terms of pages.

A novel averages 10 words per line, 25 lines per page.  So 250 words a page (others say 300-400 words per page).  Which means that "Thought You Should Know" at over 40,000 words is 160 pages in book form.  Heh.

More length terminology fun:

Short Story1,000 - 7,500 words
Novellette7,500 - 20,000 words
Novella20,000 - 50,000 words
Novel50,000 - 110,000 words
Epics, Sequels, TrilogiesOver 110,000 words
