I'm actually still a bit stunned by it all, as well as deeply humbled to be in the company of writers who I respect and envy.  *mad skills fist bump to you all* Seriously, there's clearly been a mistake and I'm awaiting a recount.

So I just wanted to snag these awards banners and the commentary, sort of hang them up on my journal wall to brighten up the joint.  I haven't been writing much this past year, so this feedback on my stories of yore is like a major supercharged rush of wow.

THANK YOU to the voters and the judges and the mods at absence_oflight for spreading the love for angst-ridden fanfiction.  Congratulations to all the winners, I see y'all doing what you do being awesome.

Final point: Being told I wrote something that brought tears?  ALL I EVER WANTED, TBH.

Spike/Buffy has never been a pairing that I rush to read. I accept that their relationship happened in canon,
but I’m not a “Spuffy” fan. This story, however, moved me to heartbreak and sniffles.
(My allergies were crying.) Angearia captures the angst and emotion of the moment in a way
that feels very true to what Spike and Buffy were in Season 7. Hats off to her.

Pretty amazing story with a twist on season 5 of the altogether startling variety.
Pregnant Buffy and her reluctant swain are in a world of difficulty, and the challenges just keep building.
The climactic scenes are painful, incredible reading.

Angearia is a great author who not only has great technical ability but can spin a tale
that pulls the reader in and won’t let go until the end.

Loves Buffy Summers more deeply and plumbs the depths of her mind and heart
more thoroughly than any author in the 'verse I know of, and in every imaginable format,
from longform epic stories to poems that linger long after they're read.

Her story "Sharing Shadows" made me cry and feel for the characters and for a non-Spuffy fan,
I give her a lot of credit for that.

She has a vision and she's true to it; that's highly commendable.
